Coaching Background
Since taking over the program, Cutter has transformed Lansing baseball into a nationally recognized contender. Under his leadership, the Stars have ranked among the top five nationally in offense in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025, and the pitching staff ranked in the top ten nationally in 2022 and 2023.
Cutter also spearheaded the 2022 initiative to relocate the program from Wilson Park to historic Kircher Municipal Field, partnering with the City of Lansing to provide the Stars with a home that reflects the program’s standards and vision.
In January 2022, Cutter was named Assistant Athletic Director at Lansing Community College and also served as head baseball coach.
Before LCC, Cutter built his coaching foundation across multiple levels of the game. He began coaching in 2010 at the youth level and later served as an assistant coach at Spring Lake High School. He later became head coach at North Muskegon High School, where he led the program to a 50–20 record in two seasons, securing conference and district championships and earning District Coach of the Year honors.
Cutter also served as pitching coach and general manager of the Muskegon Clippers in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League, helping guide the organization to its first playoff appearance. In 2020, he managed in the Northwoods League with the West Michigan Whitecaps and Traverse City Pit Spitters, working with elite collegiate and professional talent.
