LCC Volleyball Receives their Championship Banner

The Lansing Community College Volleyball Team was present on Wednesday, January 27th at halftime of the men's basketball game to receive their MCCAA Western Conference Championship banner.  

This past fall, led by Coaches Emily Quintero and Jubenal Falcon, the Lady Stars volleyball team won the first volleyball conference championship since 1990.  Led by sophomores Hannah Smith,Dayjah Stewart, and Karen Sidge, the stars posted a 12-2 conference record in securing this title. 

Along with team success many individual accolades were earned as well.

Sophomores Dayjah Stewart and Hannah Smith both received 1st Team All Conference selection as well as 1st Team All Region.  Sophomore Karen Sidge joined them on the 1st Team All Conferenc with Taylor Stanton earning Honorable Mention.

The freshman class enjoyed honors as well with  Delaney Thompson and Addie Pickelman earning Honorable Mention All Conference.  

Capping off the awards was Head Coach Emily Quintero earning her second straight MCCAA Western Conference Coach of the Year Award.
